Meet Rosie

Rosie is an active, social, misunderstood girl who thanks to Friends of the Shelter's offsite care, is getting the opportunity to enjoy life playing with other dogs, learning some leash manners and social skills, and playing with toys while awaiting her perfect family to fall in love with her. This girl has gotten one bad deal after another - First, it appears she was born with a rear foot deformity or lost part of her rear foot to an injury when she was young so she has a hitch in her giddy up when she is romping, but it certainly doesn't slow her down. Second, she's been in and out of homes since she was a puppy and it seems she has not had the best of training and socializing opportunities prior to foster care. So, here we are, after 2 months in foster care, and Rosie now has learned to walk nicely on leash and enjoys exploring neighborhoods, hiking trails, and parks. Rosie LOVES to play with toys and will self entertain if others aren't interested in playing with her. Rosie has a goofy playstyle that involves rolling around in the grass and playing keep away with toys. Rosie very much enjoys agility and is very good at it. Rosie enjoys water and would love a baby pool in her new backyard. Rosie is crate trained and housebroken and enjoys kids however may be too exuberant for kids who aren't accustomed to active dogs. Vet reference required. Fenced yard strongly recommended. Rosie is currently in foster care. If you are interested in meeting her, please submit your completed application online through the website, in person to the dog shelter making sure your application is directed to one of our adoption counselors so it is routed to Rosie's foster mom, or via fax to the adoption counselors' attention at 614-525-5548. Once your application has been received, we will forward it on to Rosie's foster mom to arrange a meeting
